Systems Critical is a production and DJ duo rooted in techno that is dark, melodic, and deeply groove-led. Their work balances atmosphere and mood with direct dancefloor utility.
Long Bio
We are systems critical - a techno duo out of Seattle making dark, groove-led, club-driving techno music. We met through the i_o community which we both had deep ties to; discovered we lived a few miles apart, and have basically been making music together since the first night we went out. Same taste, same instincts, same read on what a room actually needs.
That scene shaped how we think about sound design, patience, and physical impact on a system. With people like him gone, we stay focused on what brought us together: keep the spirit alive, push groove-driven techno forward as the world changes, and build music that still respects why that community mattered. Community and real connection with listeners and our fans worldwide are everything to us.
We don't have a sales pitch. What we obsess over is keeping the process honest and fun from the studio to the decks — open communication, no forced tracks, no records made for the wrong reasons. We believe that's where the records worth playing come from.
